XP1 (Alto Square) or XHA (Euro Square) shower tray

I don't suppose it matters much whether I buy a MX Group type XP1 (sold some places as Alto Square) or XHA (Euro Square) shower tray.

I guess it looks sensible to buy the Alto Square. Because it's lighter (11Kg for XP1 versus 15Kg for XHA).

For some reason, you have to use cement with the XHA (Euro Square), when not using a Universal Panel and Easy Plumb Kit. Which I won't be, so with XHA I'd have to use cement - not installation compound.

I think the only major difference then between these products, of note, is weight.

Not that much difference regarding installation.

XP1 is cheaper I think. Seems no brainer, I should go for XP1.

If no-one has any comments as to why it's not a good idea to buy XP1 (Alto Square) then I'll buy that.

I'll be putting a shower tray on a suspended floor. On 18mm plywood, using compound adhesive, or a suitable contact adhesive.

I can't see any technical advantage to buy XAH (Euro Square).

MX also male JAA, not sure why. Not much different from XP1.

There must be reasons for product differentiation.
