Yale wireless premium auto dialler & keypad prob

Fitted this recently, but have not armed yet on leaving house as has been someone in all the time. Today got auto dialled message to my mobile many times (as did wife and daughter) until diconnected phone lead. No fault reports on keypad which has reverted to 1 Jan 00.00 hrs at time of first call. Cannot access the programme menu as when I put my pin in I just get message, "Reporting pls wait" followed by 2 sharp beeps, followed by just the alarm off screen. Plugging the phone line back in leads to further calls to our phones which are not stopped by the "9" response.
I have had a good look through previous posts and cannot see this one. Any ideas about the cause and solution? Do I have to revert to factory reset?

Plug the phone line in again until it rings your phone -

The instructions say press 9 repeatedly - I am sure you did but just try pressing it more than once.
Are the phones it is calling all Touch Tone?

Try pressing 0 instead of 9 this also ends calls.
