I've been reading some invaluable advice on building retaining walls with railway sleepers and have used it to from a cunning plan.
I am building a retaining wall 80cm high using 4 courses of sleepers (2400x200x100) and plan to use the method mentioned by thermo of sinking posts in behind the wall and fixing onto them.
The questions I have are:
For a low wall like this could fence posts be used (4")?
Is it better to concrete them in or will postcrete be adequate?
How big should the hole be 6" or 10"?
thanks
