Yorkstone flags

Hi all,
Just bought a house and under the laminate flooring in the kitchen is what a friend says look like yorkstone flags, Can anyone advise as to how I can clean them up as they would look quite nice on the floor...soap and water? brick acid>? Thanks in advance
