"A Generation Caught In The Debt Trap"

Been thinking about all this ... In, say, thirty years when most kids in their 30's or 40's could be looking at a share of inherited homes, perhaps in two child families each married pair looking at inherting a whole house, perhaps more. can the Govn allow this state of affairs to come about ? Disincentive to work and pay taxes .... relatively large lump of cash / income for no other reason than accident of birth ?
I'll wager they will legislate some punative stuff into this lot --- they do not seem to like savings or inheritance outside of the normal twiittage ... I wonder ?
