Young man dying

B

Bodd

My wife has a friend who's son is coming home from The Royal Brompton to basically die.

It had me in tears after his mum come round to tell her the news.

She asked me if I can get hold of a copy of the New Lego film. It's going to be released at the pictures in February.

Any ideas how I could do this for him. I doubt he will make February and would never be well enough to sit at the pictures.

Sadly I don't think you can get a copy until the film has been released. You sometimes get ripped off copies online on the web (which of course shouldn't happen) but it needs to be either on DVD or the cinema for someone to rip off.

Sorry to hear about this little lad, life is really unfair at times.

Invite them to send a member of staff along to sit with the young lad while he watches to prove what you are asking is genuine.

Find the e mail of the CEO of the Company or their "publicity department" an e mail may be faster?

Ken

Ken it's me your talking too. I don't know how to get that

Write & talk to EVERYONE & get a small band of helpers together to write & talk to EVERYONE.

My kids went to school with a young lad who went home terminal after a long illness. It was the mothers at the school gate who got together & quickly found someone who someone who knew someone who could fix it. Within days they had a lot of folk working on it from the local Rotary club to a biker gang & eventually ended up getting the boys hero, a legendary rock guitarist to 'pop' in & give him a personal lesson on how to play the guitar.

ISTR that this org went a long way in helping : https://www.whenyouwishuponastar.org.uk/

You haven't said how old this young lad is but another organisation is called Starlight. They do NOT allow the general media to be involved and care only for the patient and immediate family, the patient being their primary concern.
A few years ago I set out to raise £500 for them by having my hair dyed. Nothing spectacular in that until one of my work mates pledged £100 to do it luminescent green. LOL
I did it luminescent green and raised over £1,100 pounds which helped some terminally ill children to have their dream fulfilled. for more info;

Hello Conny

He's 13 and needs a new heart, he's now to weak to accept a new one.
Good on you for putting yourself out for others. I've not enough hair but if there was more time I'd think of doing something.

I keep you all updated

Bodd, I don't know how long this young man has but get in touch with Starlight. The have funds readily available and may be able to help with what you are asking.

I don't believe in God, (how can anyone when this kind of thing happens to young children?), but I hope he finds a little happiness before his time comes to leave this earth.

Bootleg version of film?

A guy at work used to get loads of new films long before UK release. Downloads and on a memory stick.

Of course I dont approve of anything illegal.......

I know you don't. And nor should you.

Just see what you can do.

My lad's 12 in May, truely heartbreaking to read this and hope his last days are as good as can be.

Can't imagine losing a child.
