Have a Zanussi Electrolux 'Essential' 1200, 6kg washing machine. I set it to wash about an hour ago, it started then stopped at once, flashing '000' minutes, as if it had completed the 1.5 hour cycle in a split second.
This went on for about an hour, me starting it and the machine stopping the cycle immediately.
I wanted to clean the filter but this is an inherited machine so I have no manual for it. About an hour later, on a hunch, I cleared a load of wet fluff out of the rubber surrounding the internal drum. I tried to set the machine off again and to my amazement it started on its cycle.
Any ideas how to maintenance this machine please - without wrecking it completely or flooding the kitchen?
