Hello,
I have a Zanussi Aquacycle 1200 FS1255w washing machine which, until yesterday, had not been used for almost two years (but it worked fine before then).
It turns on fine but when I select a cycle, it starts draining with water and then just stops doing anything. It stays semi-filled for a while then starts flashing 'end'. However, even though it's telling me the cycle has ended, the door is not unlocking (possibly because there's still water in the drum?).
It does drain if you select that function specifically, and the drum turns smoothly when I tried moving it manually. I have tried putting it on just a spin cycle and although it spins a couple of times it just stops and again starts flashing 'end'.
Having done a cursory search of common problems, I checked the hoses and they are not blocked or kinked so as far as I can tell there isn't anything there stopping the water flow.
Does anyone have any suggestions about what I could try and check? It is an old machine so it might not be salvageable but I'd rather not buy a new one if the problem is potentially relatively easy to fix!
Many thanks,
Claire
