Zanussi Dishwasher DX6453 not working

Hi can you help me please I have a Zanussi DX6453 dishwasher which has stopped working. Having used the diagnostic facility it has come up with anti flood device, I have done the usual rocking the machine back and forth no sign of water. I have taken the machine apart and looked at the anti flood switch and this is bone dry and by lifting the float you can hear the switch clicking on and off. When I reassemble the fault is still there I`m begining to think the switch is faulty but not sure, do I have to reset the machine ??? any help would be very much appreciated
