I don't really know what I'm doing here, but a neighbour has asked me to have a look at her DW 908 dishwasher.
From what I gather it wouldn't fill with water.
The solenoid fill valve seems to have some sort of anti flood device built into it....when I got to the appliance the solenoid coil seemed to have a reading in the megohms area.
On disconnecting the machine and looking further, the resistance of the coil has fallen to around 3.6k ohm - as if something has reset itself.
Can anyone enlighten me as why it could have tripped out in the first place? The machine is running happily at the moment with a rigged up water supply, and the water is heating.
Thanks for reading!
John
