zanussi dishwasher wont fill

My zanussi diswasher wont fill with water. I thought it was the main inlet valve so I changed that but it did not fix it. It fills once, does the first rinse cycle, drains and then just stops. Could it be the secondary safety fill valve. Can this be cleaned?
