Can't open door.
Solenoid locks door but at end of cycle and when switched off, solenoid releases door, it won't open. There doesn't seem to be any spring loading on door handle which seems to be in the open position.

Washer doors (most that is) have a time delay built in after the washer stops, this is mostly in the interlock, (the bit the door catch fits into) these can sometimes stop working and wont let you open the door.

There is also a water sensor running up to the interlock that wont let you open the door if water is still in the drum, this is a vacume pipe from the sump of the outer drum, as water preasure gets greater so dose the preasure in the pipe, this in turn holds a small plastic catch open stoping normal operation of the door interlock untill the water has left the drum.

Also there is a cable on others washers that connects to the motor this in turn has a pecker (plastic arm) that flicks when the motor is running by means of the belt, ie..as the belt turns so the pecker flicks to one side, when the motor stops the pecker can grip the belt and in turn give you the preasure in the cable to open the door. This is fitted to stop you from opening the door when the washer is spining.

So, there could be three things stoping you from opening the washer door.

(1) The interlock has failed (electrical fault in the interlock) this is mostly in the interlocks that only have wireing to them,...(part No..HPT 1602390)... you then need to buy a new interlock. So to open the door when this type of problem has happened, Remove the plug from the socket, remove the lid from the washer, push the drum towards the rear to gain view of the door interlock, then you need to press the small button to let you pull the door catch open.

(2) If the door wont open because water is still in the drum.
For this you need to remove the water outlet pipe from the waste pipe, either under the sink or a seperate pipe fitted to the outside wall, find a bowl, lower the waste pipe from the washer as low as you can, this will let water drain from the washer, then you will be able to open the washer door, unless you washer has a tab fitted to stop water from draining if the outlet pipe drops to the floor, then you need to remove the hole outlet pipe from the pump. (recomend call fitter)

(3) The cable has come off stoping the door from opening.
For this you need to remove the plug from the socket, push the drum to the rear of the washer, pull downwards on the interlock as you open the door catch you will see a section of the interlock that dose move downwards, dont put too much force into this just enough to open the door, (recomend fitter to replace cable and to adjust tension
