Our 1254W regularly gets stuck in the wash cycle as it thinks it can't drain, this can go on for hours unless stopped! We have to take the filter out & drain the water from here and then keep going through the rinse, spin, drain programmes until it decides it is empty; til then it locks the door, pumps out the little water which remains and then goes into "pause mode" and does nothing more. Keep repeating above 'till it starts again correctly, after that it is fine & pumps out ok on following rinse, spin cycles. Confusing & rather annoying if you happen to be out when it decides to do this.

Take the pipe off the pressure switch & blow down it to ensure there is no blockage, then refit & remove other end & blow down it to see if you can here the pressure switch actuate/deactuate. Then check the contacts for making & breaking with a multi meter.
