Hello.
Our washing machine has gradually become more reluctant to spin over the last few months. On the odd occasion where it didn't spin properly I used to be able to rectify this by putting it back on the spin programme and then the full spin would kick in. This problem had gradually become more common until yesterday when it wouldn't spin at all and also would not spin when I put it back on the spin programme. So the clothes remain dripping wet.
I've never paid much attention to washing machines, but I noticed this morning that there's a fluff filter on the front that I can apparently clear and which I've never done in the 2 1/2 years i've had the machine (second hand). If it's been getting gradually more clogged - does this explain the gradual deterioration in spin performance? Is clearing the filter likely to resolve the problem or is it something else like motor brushes?
thanks in advance of your reply
