Zanussi oven

Zanussi ZOB550WL.

Lady says this has happened before. Oven element just stopped working "after a surge".
She says that the last time an engineer came out, he just 'reset' it with the buttons. Didn't use tools or anything.

Anyone know the 'secret'?

O/H stat on top of oven cavity? Or just reset clock/timer & set to manual, which sounds more likely.
