Zanussi TC-481W Condenser Dryer

My Tumble dryer showed the red light to indicate it was full of water and needed emptying I did so, put the water container back in but it will not work, it shows the red full light but no action. this happened yesterday and I have been unplugging it then trying again but nothing. It is making the noise it usually does before it starts to turn but thats it.
Any ideas please?

Float switch stuck would be the 1st place to check.

When I went to try the dyer today it started working, what you suggest may be relevant because every time I empty the dryer it takes abt 3/4 min to turn the drum, but it has always worked after this time lapse. This time it has been a couple of days, How do I check this switch is it easy to do?
