Zanussi washer E10 problem

My washing machine will not complete the wash cycle. It fills with water and then squirts water into the drum but will not proceed to the next step. After several minutes it peeps with an E10 message. I have unhooked the small pressure sensor rubber tubes and conectors and blown gently through the hoses and checked that the diaphram operates in the sensor. Turning the cross on the front sensor changes the frequency that the water is cycled from the jet into the drum. If I skip the wash cycle the machine spins and drains perefectly. Has anybody got any ideas?
