Zanussi washing machine belt keeps slipping off

Hi,

Anyone out there who has experienced this prob?

The belt keeps slipping off - does it need to be set on a special way? I just stretched it so it fits on the drum wheels and the motor wheel.

It works for a bit and after a while, it slips off.

Possibly the rear drum bearing has failed, allowing the pulley to wobble. The belt can also come off if the inside surface with the V grooves gets damaged. The modern Zanussis don't have any adjustment for belt tension but some models had a white / yellowish elasticated belt which seems to perish with age.
