New to this forum and in need of help! I have a Zanussi FJS12225 washing machine.

Lately it has not been taking the conditioner so we scrubbed and cleaned it all out, cleaned the jets where the water sprays in case they were blocked.

Still no joy as the conditioner remained in the compartment. So thought i would see what happens during a wash and discovered that at the point of jetting water into the conditioner compartment, the machine actually jets water into the main soap dispensing compartment.

No ideas why and cant seem to be able to hard reset the machine in case its a software issue on the machine.

Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Any help really appreciated.

It's jetting into the correct compartment, the waterways to the jets in the conditioner compartment are still blocked. Try some thin stiff(ish) wire and rod the waterways.

Ok - have now really cleaned up the holes with a tiny allen key trying to push it in as far as poss. Some black gunge came out but all pretty soft.

Have put a wash on and will let u know what happens.

Thanks for advice.

Long piece of bell wire is best. Strip the insulation off and use it to clear the waterways while water is trying to come through. A towel is very handy too :D

you used to be able to get a tool for clearing the jets in camping stoves, called a "pricker" which might do the job, though they may not be readily available now.

Excellent! Works as it ought to now!

Gave the waterways a good "pokin" and also did a hot 90 degree wash with a load of vinegar.

Machine good as new (well almost!).

Thank you ever so much for your help.
