:?: Zanussi Washing Machine.... need help!

I have a Zanussi washing machine. I am unsure what the Model no is but it is 3yrs old . Anyhow, over the last few months my hubby has been doing the laundry (please do not faint ). But I put on a wash 2 days ago and it seemed to take forever to finish, so yesterday I put a load on at 6.45pm and it didn't finish until 11.10pm ....... 4hrs and 25mins!! It was on the 40degree 'D' setting. Apparently my dear hubby thought this was normal..........

Any ideas what's wrong?? Thanks.

My dryer is a Zanussi, my washer is a Whirlpool AWM 1003

Had the repair guy up today. Hose was too low down and it was emptying as fast as it was filling!!

Cost me £30 for a cable tie!!!!! Extortion!!!
