Hi
I Bought a new main oven thermostat and it has been upgraded so is totally different from the old one and the wiring connections on the back are different. I have double checked it is the correct one and it is.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram or wiring instructions for the new thermostat. The product number on the oven is 944171205. The new part number is either EDB710 or 47THC9 I think. The new part has three spade connectors right on the back and they are labelled F,G,H and on the sides there are 6 more spade connectors labelled 1 to 6.
If any one can help that would be great.
Thanks Snott

You could contact the supply, or you could contact the t/stat manufacturer.
How many wires going to the old t/stat.
Im guessing but is this an oven that also has a grill.
You would only have live in & out with a neutral for the neon.

What details of the original switch / stat?

G & H appear to be linked on the new stat. You can check this with a multimeter.
The diagrams show neutrals going through the thermostat.

Hi
Thanks for your replies.
I tried contacting zanussi but they where not exactly helpful.
The old thermostat has five wires going to it. 2 light blue wires right on the back and then on the switch itself.
Spade connector with two red wires on one spade
Spade connector with one red wire
Spade connector with yellow wire
Thanks

Yellow wire = 3
Single red = 6 (This red connects to fan element)
Double red = 1 (shows 1 and 2 on diagram. check 1 and 2 are internally connected on switch first. These reds come from Timer).

We have a difference on the blue wires.
My diagram shows, blue from fan element and from neon connected to G, and blue from timer connected to F.

Before fitting anything, meter the new switch and thermostat. Confirm that G and H are internally connected. Confirm that 1 and 2 on the switch are internally connected.
Ensure that the double red wires come from the timer.

If you can confirm this, then the blue from the timer to F, another blue to G and the remaining blue to H.

My drawings actually show 7 wires as opposed to the 6 you mention. (double red counted as 2).

Sleepyhead thanks for your reply.
I have just taken the front panel of and the wiring is as follows
Single red wire to timer
Double red wire. one to the led and the other dissapears to back of oven.
Single blue to back of oven
Double blue to led and back of oven.
The new Switch is as follows
1-4 and 2-5 are internally connected when the switch is off.
1-3 and 2-6 are internally connected when the switch is turned on.
G and H are internally connected.
Thanks Snott

I can see where the double red would go, the blues are easy.

I'm assuming there's no continuity between 1 and 2 when the switch is on or off.

You'll have to take the back off to confirm this.

Single red to 1
Double red to 6
Single blue to F
Double blue to G
Yellow to 3
Make a link wire from 1 to 2

Take the back off and confirm red and blue to circular element and yellow and ? to fan (should loop the blue from element to fan).
