Zanussi ZI8454x SS Fridge Freezer

I'm installing this unit freestanding, do I need to drill holes in the back of the unit for the side panel brackets?

It dosnt say anything, I'm afraid of drilling into an essential component

I do not understand what you are doing, if it's freestanding what panels need fixing?
If it needs drilling they would tell you and in most cases the holes would already be there, with blanking plugs in them.

The side panels dont come fitted, Its not pre-drilled
