Kitchen company has recommended a Zip ES6 heater for under our sking in the new kitchen. Fitters are here now and kitchen well underway. Looking at Zip's web site it says the ES6 is for hand basins. There's a beefier one for not much more cash for washing up etc. Before I start moaning to the company, is there any way in which the model I have would be suitable? Dont want to sound off and then be told more lies.....

Better asking the electrics forum  from what I just googled it looks like it`s a power issue - 3kw vs.6 Kw - not a size of vessel issue .

for what it's worth a 10 litre 3Kw unvented under sink heater will fill a kitchen sink with hot water once every 10-15 mins if that helps? ;)

Depends on what kind of use its going to get, if you have a dishwasher the es6 will be ok as 3.3 litres a minute will be fine for washing the odd cup/hands etc, why isint your kitchen taps not connected up to the house hot water system?
