hi
I have a danfoss two port zone valve with a danfoss HP-22 actuator. the output microswitch is sticking on (pump / boiler being activated by it when zone is inactive).
This exact same thing has happened several times before over the years, I used to have a BG service contract on the system and they would just swap the actuator head for another one, then a few years later same thing would happen, repeat.... Now due to a new boiler I don't have the overall service contract so I will do my own head swap, given my experience with danfoss I would like to put in a different head brand if I can.. are the different manufacturers actuators interchangeable onto each others heads? any recommendations for reliability?

Danfoss are not interchangeable with other makes. I would recommend fitting a complete new Honeywell 2 port valve for reliability.

I had the same problem for a while. Fitted relays instead and no problems.

At the end of the day it was a better solution than changing both valves .
For another one with with a crappy aux switch.

The danfoss is rubbish. The aux switch fails for a past time.
What do you mean by " depends on system design"?
