zoned heat and hot water

am i right in thinking i can change between hot water and central heating on my new heating system by using a three port valve and have heat up or downstairs by using zone valves ,all without wall thermostats which are ugly,thanks.

NO, you have to use room stats (the large ugly ones are vey good)

you could try this

its a building regulation thing about room stats, and besides how will the valves know when to close down without them?
