My neighbour has mentioned getting extra insulation in his attic space before winter sets in, he already has rockwool insulation up there but was thinking of also getting the rest of foam sprayed....I think i read on here a while ago guys saying dont use it..anyone know the pitfalls of it and I will let him know

if the attic has full insulation the foaming the roof will add very little if anything as you need through ventilation to stop dampness little extra heat gain if any is likely with laws off diminishing returns
so he will gain nothing except possibly problems for years
