Hi

I am fitting an expansion vessel (along with prv and filling loop etc) to a fully pumped S plan heating system to convert the system to a sealed system from open vented.

The boiler manufacturer (Worcester bosch) recommends the it is situated in the return close to the boiler.

I have read other info that says it should be situated close to the pump suction would mean its in the flow.

Can anyone tell me which is the best location?

Thanks for the reply.

My other problem is that the boiler is in a (unheated) garage.

I have a frost and pipe stat to protect the boiler, but would this protect the expansion vessel, as presumably not much flow goes through it?

If i fitted the expansion vessel in the house would that be a problem as long as there is no restriction between it and the boiler?

Thanks again.
