Troubleshooting

If you think your washing machine may be faulty, check the following points before calling a Service Engineer. These checks could prevent a charge being made for the Service man’s visit if the machine is found to be in perfect working order.

Initially check the filter on your washing machine and clean if necessary, your manual should detail this procedure.

If your machine will not start or complete the programme, check:

• The plug, the socket and the switch, if necessary, with another appliance.
• The fuse in the plug.
• That the door is closed.
• That a programme is accurately selected.

If water will not enter, check:

• The hot and cold hoses are correctly connected to the relevant caps and that these are turned on.
• That a suitable programme has been selected.

If water will not drain, check:

• That the outlet hose is not kinked or raised more than 40
