Hopefully the isolating valves won't leak - I think they were replaced at least once since new. If they do they look easy enough to get at.

More of an issue is if the isolating valves let by - that is hard to spot seeing that there are pressure drop issues already!

My client / friend has reported that the pressure has remained the same for 2 days now, meaning that there is some intermittency to the pressure loss. She has been having baths etc as usual and using the heating during the day as normal.

I suppose there could be a pipework leak that is heat sensitive and therefore intermittent, but I suspect the boiler the more likely fault.

7 months later i see you have asked a question danny. no i have no access to the cc. i have however been thinking it might be amusing to join and rain on certain persons parades. rest assured if i was in the CC i certainly would not be a silent partner. i can only imagine what nonsense that **** glazier is posting in there.

Dear DP,

I recently posted a query in Central Heating and Plumbing regarding a problem that I was having with a Vokera 20/80R.S. Flowmatic gas boiler.

Recently the boiler malfunctioned. In order to repair it BG told me that a ‘seal to pilot pipe combustion chamber 4039’ part was required, but that this part has been obsolete for several years.

You replied to my post saying that you might have the part in question. Provided that you are corgi registered and thus have the legal capacity to do the work, perhaps you could contact me with a view to giving me an estimate for the repair to my gas boiler.
