I decided to decorate the small box bedroom in my house as it had not been done for years!
As a first step I stripped and sanded the bedroom door smooth with an electric sander after having to scrape some bits. The door I think is wood with a type of hardboard covering. The house was built in...
I recently installed a hive dual thermostat to work alongside my Worcester Greenstar 34Cdi classic. The water side of things works perfectly. Boiler fires up, hey presto. The heating however does not fire the boiler. The heating only works if the water is on as well. Anyone got any ideas. Please...
Hello. Our Victorian terrace house is built with the garden wall continuing as the party wall for the property. Water is sucked into the interior of the house as it was built without any vertical break or damp proof course, it’s just one long wall. I removed the concrete render from the interior...
Hi, I am putting down new flooring on our top floor apartment (2007) that we just bought.
One room has a balcony. It seems dampness is coming in from the balcony - particularly after rain [maybe that's obvious :o) ].
Is there any way to fix or mitigate this before putting down vinyl?
Any...

Hey! I moved into a new flat recently, and it is fully electric (which is new to me) and taking me some time to figure things out. I'd appreciate some guidance so I can feed back anything I need to my lettings agency.

I'm tiling a bathroom and now got to make the bath panel to be tiled?
I was thinking to to make a structure panel in stud work and plywood 12mm, then tiling on it straight away.
Would this work? is the plywood good enough for wet area?
I done some dob and dab and on few occasion the cut off for the electrical box is wider than the cover plate and can see the box.
What would be the best and strong way to make good around it?
Thanks

Any help...
I need a longer length of the track in the picture, but I have no idea what’s it’s called in the trade nor what to search for.
could anyone advise of it’s name, where I might be able to get some? It’s for a bike carrier, my MTB is XL and is a bit dodgy during travel.
Thanks.
