I've removed an old toilet and macerator as we want to change the room back into a bedroom. Are the pipes just 15mm copper piping so just use normal blanking caps for them or do I need something else? Here's a photo:
Hi
I need to remove this radiator - can anyone give me advice on how I can do this?
It's a new build house - flexi pipes and this panel. I need a step by step guide if anyone can help? :)
Thanks!!
Hello all. I am trying to box in some pipes left by the previous tennant after they moved a radiator. There are some pretty big holes left in the wall, far bigger then I have filled before so unsure how to tackle them. Any tips, I dnt think my normal filler will do the job! Also any tips on...
Renovating an old terraced property. Not sure what to do with these unsightly pipes in what will become a utility room. If I boxed them in my joinery skills might make it look worse. Thinking of painting them white which may look ok against a good old magnolia wall. Has anyone got any tips on...
Hi All I recently just had a full new central heating system installed, all pipes have been replaced and new hot and cold pipes have been replaced to cater to my new home extention and home. I also have a combi boiler.
I paid British gas £8795 for the job. This was yesterday. However today I...
Hi. New member here. I bought a flat last year, in a converted pub on a very long lease. The developer went bust and the conversion was finished by contractors working for the new freeholders - a firm of solicitors. The development began in 2015.
The main pub building has been split into three...
I had my underfloor heating and flow screed installed today and the company ordered 4 x 100m rolls of pipes and ended up using around 4 x 80m so I have 4 x 20m left over.
Is there anything else they can be used for, seems crazy to throw them away. I think they are 16mm so can't be used for...
I have recently bought some OneShot instant drain cleaner and am a bit worried about it damaging my plastic pipes especially downpipes etc.
Will all be OK as long as I follow the instructions?
Thanks
Hi, I need to know what the regulations are regarding pipework that leads from an upstairs bathroom to a (former) exterior drain. We had a new solid roof conservatory built this year. It extends across the back of our house and now covers a pipe and drain that allows the sink, bath and shower to...
Just moved into a place that has a sink in the bedroom. Is this easy to remove? Can we just seal off any pipes left once the sink is out? Thanks for any help
Switched out pedestal basins for vanity units earlier this week, but the pedestal has left a huge hole in the pipe boxing underneath.
What do you think is the best way of patching up these holes? They're hidden away so I'm not worried about retiling, but I feel like there has to be a better...
Have 8mm OD (outside diameter) copper running between radiator and floor.
It's getting kicked and worried it's going to come apart.
Does a steel protector "kick plate" as outlined in drawing exist, or something similar.
Not worried that it looks ugly.
(Changing the pipework to more robust 15mm...
Wondering if anyone here can give me some advice.
Recently bought a Victorian terraced flat (ground floor) and discovered a slow leak into one the walls from the old lead cold water pipe that supplies the upstairs flat. Plumber has sealed it off, created a junction and run an alternative...
Hello
I've had a new 8L expansion vessel fitted but noticed that the new one hasn't been attached to the wall, as was the case with the old one. The bracket is there, but it's just not attached to the wall. As a result it's being supported by two pipes above vessel, and boiler case below which...
I'm doing up an old house and the plaster ceiling is damaged near the water pipes (image attached and here: http://imgur.com/1ewa68Y). Ideally I'd like to avoid ripping the whole thing down and starting again, so what (if there is one) is the best way of fixing this?
Thanks
I'm sorting out our new house and next on the job list is change a few of the radiators...they are a bit nasty and rusty with a whole range of different valves.
Anyway, the piping is 10mm copper hidden behind skirting and comes out of the wall at a weird angle.
