I am considering having my vented hot water cylinder upgraded to an unvented cylinder. Therefore, I will also need to have our power shower replaced with a mixer shower.
However, I only wish to do this if the shower performance is going to be the same or better.
How do I ensure this will be...
So I saw this in a magazine at work today:

The PDF on it is here: http://www.jacarta.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Jacarta-intelliAmp-2016.pdf
Apparently, it can measure power and current by simply clipping it over an active and...
I have one of the above panels that has been running for about 3 years.
I came home the other day to see an error on the RKP 'Mains power off'.
Checked and everything was okay, so cleared the error.
It was only a few hours before it popped up the error again.
Tested the mains, all okay...
Just wondering what would have caused the following.
I moved my NAS box from my kitchen to above my hallway data cabinet, and when I plugged the USB cable in between my NAS and the UPS, it shorted out all the 5v USB ports on my NAS.
Unplug and re-plug the USB cable on the UPS end, same thing...
hi all- I have electricity going to my shed and recently looked in the gap between shed and patio and saw trunking visible, broken in the middle with cable visible. I've turned power off and tried to pull trunking up to cover it, but it won't budge. I'm wondering if I can wrap tightly with...
Title explains most of it!
Swapped out two old halogen floodlights (500w) with LED lights (50w). Nothing fancy needed with the electrics.
Since installing, my normally reliable ethernet over power plugs (Devolo) are dropping signal almost continuously when the external lights go on (I first...

Hi,
Last night I lost the lighting for two rooms downstairs (mixture of halogen GU5.3 spots and standard bayonet fixtures. The hallway lights are unaffected, despite being on the same circuit.
No fuses were not tripped and i tested the RCD, with no affect.
Is it possible that the transformer...

I live in an old 1930 block of flats and water to my flat (hold & cold ) comes from a communal boiler in the builder.
I recently had a new bathroom fitted and I got a nice new shower but realised there is no power in the water coming out.
How can I fix this issue and get decent amount of power...
Hi all,
I want to run electric to two sheds. The sheds are located about 15 metres from the main house and are located together (probably a couple of metres between them).
I wanted to seek advice from those 'in the trade' as to the best way to do this. I do have a plan but need to make sure...
So was doing a little paper excessive to keep by brain active. If you had:
A) A single oven rated 3.5Kw (i.e. Steam oven)
and
B) A second single oven rated at 3.0Kw (i.e. Microwave combi oven)
That would give you a current rating of 11.56A for the first oven and 10.91A for the second oven...
Came across this product whilst looking for something else on Google the other day...

I remember seeing the inventor on Dragons Den. I don't think it went to well but I don't trust contrived TV productions personally, I know how they work!
The product looks...
