More specifically, we have a 1901 Bristan pillar bath/shower tap, and water is leaking from the spindle on the hot tap. I can't see...

Cold tap low flow rate - only a trickle until 4/5 turns

The cold tap in the bathroom basin now requires 4/5 turns before the flow is acceptable. 1 turn used to suffice. They're an old style tap similar to the picture below. We live in a hard water area if that has any significance. Any idea how this can be fixed? Thanks in advance for any help.

Install 3 way water filter tap

Hi I just purchased a 3 way tap that came with 1/2" flexi hoses for each of the 3 holes. 1 hose is for the hot water and 1 is for the cold water. The 3rd one is for the filtered water. I am using an undersink water filter system that connects to a tap via a 1/4" plastic tubing. How on earth do...

Loud Shuddering noise from hot tap and possibly heating

Hi All, recently, when I turn the bath hot tap on, just slightly, a very loud shuddering, like a pneumatic drill, can be heard from the pipes/floor/tap? When I turn the tap on fully, it stops. Is this water hammer? It doesn't happen all the time, just every so often. But it is so loud and...

I have an old basin with square tap holes and old taps with round bases. I want to keep the basin and replace the taps. The holding nuts underneath the taps have seized. Low hot pressure on tap in bathroom

Hi folks, So I have a mixer tap in my bathroom and when I move it to the hot position the water trickles out. It never gets hot, I assume because the flow is not great enough to kick the combi boiler on. I replaced the tap thinking it was that, same problem. If I move the tap to the middle...
