    Can't take basin tap apart

My tap is becoming stiff to turn. It was fitted some years ago and I've not needed to get into it before. Unfortunately I have no note of the make. I want to clean it before it gets worse but am unsure how to take it apart. 1/ I assume there is a screw under the 'C' which allows me to remove...

Bathroom Taps & Fittings from Germany - will they fit in the UK?

Sorry for sounding like such an amateur, but I am! The wife wants several bathrooms redone in a house we just bought. Going to be talking to a plumber next week. Was just browsing around to get a handle of the costs of taps, shower heads, etc. Saw that there are some Germany based online shops...

Is it normal to not use flexible hoses under sinks?

The plumber has used flexible hoses to connect up the taps everywhere else, but not for the downstairs WC sink. Is this normal? 20170514_194959 by r_c posted 16 May 2017 at 12:17 AM

Water spurting from tap - issue with me or flat above?

I live on the ground floor of a converted house. Over the past couple of weeks, I've switched the taps on when I get up first thing in the morning to find water violently spurting out of them. It doesn't happen every day - just a couple of time so far. On both occasions I have switched all the...

Odd behaviour from kitchen sink tap

Tap turns fine. Water runs and stops fine. But the water stops quarter of a turn before the tap is closed and when fully closed the water is running again. Anyone know if this is fixable or would I be wasting my time taking it apart?

Water hammer; is it the tap?

Loud hammer noise when one particular hot tap is turned on. Clears quickly when tap is fully opened, or when a hot tap in the next room is opened. Sounds like the hammering is at or near the tap itself. Last night I was awoken by a hammer which sounded like it wasn't going to stop. I found the...
