In a report titled "Defunding Politically Motivated Campaigns" the Conservative Way Forward group detail how taxpayers' money is wasted on politically motivated groups, charities, projects and quangoes; waste which is making us poorer, less productive and more divided. The report suggests savings amounting to £7 billions.

Conservative Way Forward submitted 6,000 freedom of information requests to organisations such as universities, councils, charities and Government departments about their accounts and employees.

Much waste goes on "EDI" - Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, i.e. telling us that we are all racists. Wigan council for example, has 8 EDI employees on salaries totaling £345,000 pa whilst the borough is said to be one of the most deprived in the country.

Environmental protesters such as those blocking bridges in central London have received taxpayers' money to fund their activities through something called UK Health Alliance for Climate Change, an organisation that has received £110 millions of public money since 2017.

The report was released yesterday...

If I were in power I'd instantly cut off the funding for such things, and give it to the nurses

7 billion? Waste? pfft. Bozza wasted £37 billion on a useless track and trace app in the blink of an eye. Tip of the iceberg.

You sound like a Labour politician on the campaign trail!

The overarching fact of the matter is that this money should not have been taken off us in the first place. The tax burden upon us now is the highest it has been since WW2 and it is doing us no good at all. It should be up to the taxpayer, and only the taxpayer, to decide where his money is spent, and there should be no taxation without representation.

Yes and the bulk of the iceberg is the waste in the welfare state and the NHS.

Waste is a way of life for British governments at all times. We know the scamdemic was the single biggest waste of money in British history, but waste, excess, mismanagement and unaccountability were rife long before it and continue now.

Nobody will stop the spending. It cannot be stopped, it is a runaway train going downhill.

It’s not waste

:LOL::LOL: Only you could come up with crap like that!

The report suggests savings amounting to £7 billions.
Suggests Labour on the other hand have found £6billion without touching that lot. LOL They are trying to beat tha and a lot of what they suggest wont happen..

All such big numbers until you compare with the near £1 trillion total budget. That likely to increase over the next 12 months or so.

  • 43% of companies that have diverse management report higher profits.
Or, to put it another way, 43% of companies that have higher profits also have diverse management, notably less than half. Correlation is not causation. It may be that the younger companies are more profitable, which will have younger staff, who are more likely to be diverse if they were recruited more recently. More likely it's just two unrelated facts that have been banged together to try and make a point. You can similarly "prove" that street lighting causes (insert specific modern illness here) if you're prepared to accept that the rise in both is related (obviously it isn't).
  • Businesses with ethnoracial diversity practices are 36% more likely to perform better than their peers.
Again, cause and effect are being conflated to spin a story.
  • 73% of companies with gender equality practices have higher profits and productivity.
More of the same. Itf there is a link then it's possible that those with higher profits are the ones that are more likely to have the spare money to spend on equality practices, i.e. the cause and effect are the reverse of that implied.
  • 78% of employees believe DEI in the workplace offers a competitive advantage.
No evidence is provided, including how people were asked or whether they understood the costs and disadvantages. If you're just asking a bunch of people in front of their peers whether they'd like to make the world a better place then you'll probably get a "yes" from most.
  • Women make up 15% of Fortune 500 companies’ CEOs
I've no idea what this proves or disproves, it's just some random unrelated facts.
  • By 2025, employees from underrepresented groups would hold 30% of leadership positions.
Just a random prediction, no statement as to who says this, why and whether that's a good or bad thing.
  • 35% of the US workforce are Millennials.
Just demographics. Is this too low or too high?
  • 76% of workers value diversity in the workplace
Appears to be a repeat of the above with slightly different numbers.
What To Become is an advertising-funded recruitment website, not a respected polling or analysis organisation.

The FED report that corporation profit levels have increased to unacceptable levels has it interesting aspects. Many will be globals.

what part of "it may be" do you consider to be data, evidence, facts? :ROFLMAO:

Correlation is not causation.
I never said it was

neither does the study:

Top-team ethnic and cultural diversity is correlated with profitability. In our 2017 data set, we looked at racial and cultural diversity in six countries where the definition of ethnic diversity was consistent and our data were reliable.1 As in 2014, we found that companies with the most ethnically diverse executive teams—not only with respect to absolute representation but also of variety or mix of ethnicities2 —are 33 percent more likely to outperform their peers on profitability. That’s comparable to the 35 percent outperformance reported in 2014, with both figures being statistically significant (Exhibit 4).

notice the word correlated......

iversity wins is the third report in a McKinsey series investigating the business case for diversity, following Why diversity matters (2015) and Delivering through diversity (2018). Our latest report shows not only that the business case remains robust but also that the relationship between diversity on executive teams and the likelihood of financial outperformance has strengthened over time. These findings emerge from our largest data set so far, encompassing 15 countries and more than 1,000 large companies. By incorporating a “social listening” analysis of employee sentiment in online reviews, the report also provides new insights into how inclusion matters. It shows that companies should pay much greater attention to inclusion, even when they are relatively diverse
