The V pro dimmers always seem the failsafe option. The only thing I dislike is my son likes to press the lights on and off which sets then into programming mode easily... The MK ones are more robust in this respect.
Nicest LED bulbs I've used are Megaman Dim to Warm - the basic difference with halogen vs led (in terms of light colour) is that halogens become more red as they dim, whereas led just get dimmer but stay the same colour. Dim to warms emulate halogen by changing the colour emitted as the light dims.. only downside is the gu10s are about 7 quid each!
