Hi All
In a 1920 built house (solid double brick / suspended timber floor), I am planning to lift all floor boards up to install floor insulation between timber joists. I am wondering if I should take the opportunity to apply sika on all timber joist surface for preventive measure also?
Would that cause any harm or provide any benefit?
For insulation, I am planning to use "hemp slab" / Thermo Jute, to keep possible moisture movement.
There is no sign of damp issue in the existing house. Floor insulation is purely an eco reason.
Thank you
HB
