At a technical level;, where you are concerned with getting the old boards out we found with a wide room the best way was to circular saw the floor down the middle, then each have a lump hammer and whack the boards up, remove the remaining nails from boards and joists and move onto the next (First 2 or 3 boards needed lifting with pry bars). A large room took 2 hours, and then a clean t-shirt from the sweat. Not complex work though. Insulating and foaming took about 6 hours, taping took about 1/2 an hour. The next day took 3 hours to get the ply cut and fitted, and then 3 hours to fit laminate and 1 1/2 hours to fit new skirting. Furniture went back in the next day.
