I am wanting to replace a 2 dimmer switch with a 1 dimmer.
The 1 dimmer box I want to fit has 3 connections
LIVE
S
Squiggle line with arrow LOAD (Neutral I am guessing)

The wires that are going into the 2 Dimmer I want to replace are
Yellow - going into L1
Blue - going into L1 on the other connector/switch
Red - going into C
Yellow & Green which is earthed to the box within the wall

My questions
is there no neutral ?
Do I tape off one of the wires?

Any help would be appreciated

thank you

There's no neutral. Load is for a live connection. I take it you have two lights operated by two switches and you want them both on one dimmer? Do the existing dimmers have a link between the C terminals?

Hi there
thanks for the reply
I am actually want just to connect the 1 dimmer switch onto one set of lights in the ceiling the other dimmer was for a light over the fireplace which has been removed before I had the place but I am guessing the wires in the socket werent

just not sure what colours go where

Very Best

Connect the 2 x wires (live in and live out to the lamp) that are used on the working side of the double dimmer. Tape off the unused wire.
