Hi
Just bought a do-er upper, long list of things to do but one minor issue that is grating me is one of the (newly wired by sparky prior to buying the house) lights in the kitchen isn't working.
Have a fairly competent DIY knowledge of electrics so opened up the switches and rose to see if just a loose wire but every looks secure.
Did notice the light that isn't working only has L1 wired on both switches as per pics with no L2.
The right side, then left one on both is working the other light fine.
Can I just transfer the L1 to L2 on both switchs of the right side so it's in the 2 way side or does it need both an L1 and L2??

Thanks

It look like these are the 2 different switch fronts.

I believe you are saying the switches on the left of both (as we see in the pictures) works ok as a 2 way system.
It looks like both right switches are wired for one light each as 1 way.

The wire colours look unusual, is there anything else behind either or both switches (like a blue wire)?

Oh and this is not a recent full rewire, just in case you have been told that.

Do you have any test kit at all?
