Hi,

I need to replace a faulty light switch in my kitchen that turns the kitchen lights on, 1 switch turns the roof lights and another turns the under wall unit lights. This is the only switch that operates the kitchen lights.

I have come up against an issue that the back of the switch I have bought is not the same as the old 1. I wonder if people could assist with how I need to either re-wire the new switch of do I need to obtain another replacement?

Note: All the wires into the back of the switch are brown.

he old switch is wired as per the below image

The new switch has the below terminals?

On the switch there is a label indicating that L1 is com and a label saying 1 way under the L2 terminal.

Brilliant thank you, I was steering towards this way but wanted to clarify first and like you mention if it meant a switch was upside down I didn't know what route to take then. Many thanks bernardgreen.
