Two reds together in a separate terminal block
Yellow connects to the L on the new fitting terminal connector
Earth wires need a separate terminal block too. They look to be just twisted togther under the tape

Was the blue wire connected anywhere before you changed the fitting?

Ok, got it. The wires were all connected to a classic ceiling light fitting. I ll put a picture of the old fitting

Two reds together in a separate terminal block
I believe that Deryck means "Connect the two reds at the ceiling together, in a separate terminal block",
after removing the "Red" connection which you ave already made - to the "Line" conductor.
(since the light is ON permanently.)

At the ceiling.
Was the blue wire connected anywhere before you changed the fitting?
Were there two (groups of) lights on the ceiling previously, each controlled by one of the "2 gang" switches - one via the Yellow insulated conductor and the other via the Blue insulated conductor ?

And same again with the earth wires (I assume there are two)

1 gang turns on and off the light i m replacing(in the living room), the other gang controls the light in the porch.

I didnt touch the blue wires in the switch, dont know why it s disconnected..
To recap:

- yellow instead of the red in the new "connector"
- both red wires at the ceiling to be put togheter in a terminal block
- yellow and green wire to be put in another terminal block
Is that right?

Were there any other wire in the ceiling fitting?

If not there must be some other wireing such as a junction box

What have you done with the blue wire at the switch position ?
What have you done with the blue wire at the light fitting position ?
The switch has nothing connected to the output on the porch switch, it would appear that the blue wire at the switch should be connected to The vacant L1 terminal of the porch switch. Before doing that ,you must tell us what you have done with the blue wire at the light fitting.

Nothing, the light wire is "vacant" as the yellow and green one
