2 stage oil pump

hi, i am fitting a new taisan solenoid oil pump to a Rayburn 499k in the very near future but am not sure about adjusting the two screws.Am i right in thinking the dual stages give low then high flame to give a smooth start up ? The recommended pressure is 135 psi. Using my pressure gauge how do i adjust the low and high screws ?
As usual all info greatly appreciated.
