I want to add 2 wall lights each side of a mirror. I was going to connect the lights from the ceiling rose ...

But each light has optional pull chord, so I would like to have one pull chord on one light, which switches both wall light on and off.

How do I wire for this?

Run a Twin & Earth from the ceiling rose (live feed, neutral & earth) to your first wall light - connect as per instructions, through the switch on the wall light.

Run another T & E from the first wall light to the second one, but connect directli to lamp.....i.e. bypass the switch.

This will mean that both wall lights will come on when the first pull cord is operated, but the second pull cord will be redundant.

Is that what you mean??

Install the first light as per instruction supplied with the unit.
Then run a either a twin and earth or a 3 core flex between the two wall lights.
On both wall lights, terminate brown core colour to live side, blue core to neutral and yellow/green PVC sleeved core to earth terminal if earth connection available. (if earth connection is not available on the fitting, terminate earth in to a connection strip, don't snip it off, you never know, if the lights are ever replaced the new ones may need an earth)
Wouldn't bother linking out the switch on the wall light, just keep it in the closed position and both lights should come on and off at the same time.
