so there where two of them ripping off the mail
they got sentenced to 2 years each
they will do 12 months each with good behavoir.
that looks like £500.000 a year to me now thats not bad is it.
does anyone wanna send me some mail?

Don't know what all the fuss is about, going by what comes through my letterbox the skip and landfill site probably contained 99.999% junk mail anyway, so perhaps they did us all a favour?

but remember that £500,000 a year has to be split between the pair of them so its a measley £250K each a year, once the wife has had her share then it doesnt go very far these days (plus think of their solicitors fees!)

Don't know about that, you'd have to pay me more than 1/2 mil to go away for a year, I'd be interested to know what price the others would put on their freedom.

the total sum they ripped off was £1.000.000
so that is £500.000 each
they both got 2 years but they will only do 1 with good beh
so that means they both get £5000.000 for 1 years work

i re-read your post after i sent mine and spotted that but i couldnt be bothered to change it - lazy i know

they'll probably get a low security easy ride weekend type prison as well as the crime didnt involve violence so for the £500k its really easy money - not even the risk of being deflowered in the showers!

it'd be a real crime if they are allowed to hide the money until there realeased

They also have to repay the money within 4 years or go back to jail for longer. How long would they have got if they had stolen the money (or less) in a bank raid?
