29 mb when doing tightmess test

Well, I find this odd.

I have never had a govenor lock out at 25 mbar, as I have had transco out numerous times to failed governors throwing >30 mbars working pressure.

Thats not lock out is it.

Governors will take huge standing pressure whick is what youve measured because you have not carried out a proper tightness test.

When I mean huge, only up to 75 mbar.

It does happen.

If a meter governor is throwing out 30mbar it would not be able to lock out at twenty five mbar .They lock out just above what they are usually set at which is 22mbar . That is what the gas board have traditionally set them at . And you will usually not know they have locked up.Other than if a leak showed up later on the inlet..

It`s a pretty pathetic rule that transco have to come out to adjust them but then again if people can`t get the basics of a tightness test right it is probably understandable
