Hi guys,

looking for advice on the following.

I have a large 3 phase power supply / charger that will be required for demonstration purposes, it requires 3 phase neutral and earth at approx 16A per phase and has control circuits at 240V. My question is am I required to use armoured cable, or regular 5 core 3pn+e flexible cable. I couldn't find any reference in the 16th ed regs. The manufacturer specifies 4mm2, so if it has to be armoured it will be anything but flexible.

The type of environment that the unit is to be used will be light industrial and domestic type garage.

Many thanks.

it has to be suitable for the environment you are using it in.. and as it sounds like a fairly rugged use generator then I would go for something with an earthed sheath...

maybe some SY flex..

Oh RF - I usually agree with you 100%.......but SY......Yuk.

The sheath goes hard and brittle and fails quicker than you think.
