3 phase volt drop

Could use XLPE cable, and not bother stripping it back.

If you use PVC, the golden rule is 2". The sleeving is available from most wholesalers, but old school sparks still use tape!

the cable is xlpe so thats fine.

have also got to protect the swa in an area where it could possibly be damaged if just clipped direct. there are some overhead cranes so it would be possible but not likely.

what is best form of mechanical protection. would heavy cable tray suffice?

few more questions gents if thats ok

1, ive used xlpe swa so can anyone confirm no need to strip insulation back? can just connect straight to busbar?

2, busbar has 2 pre drilled holes in it (look about 12mm diameter). when i say pre drilled i mean by someone else not the manufacturer. can i use steel bolts or do they have to be brass?

3, Also the busbar is made by BILL? are these still going? dont think they are, going to advise the busbar be replaced as it looks very old.

I would still strip the insulation back just to be sure.
Brass bolts would be better if you can get some.
Bill are part of the MEM/Eaton company now
