300mm wide boards

I would like to make some furniture from 300x38mm boards, like scaffold planks but wider.

I've found them online as PSE pine, they seem to be a niche product, any experience of these boards? Do they cup/split?

If not, if I buy 6x1.5 PSE, is it usually square enough to joint along the long edge without further planing?

I've thought about timber board but I yhiooyhats only 18/20mm so not thick enough.

38mm is quite thick for a board, what kind of furniture are you making? You will struggle to find planed boards of that kind of width and thickness.

PSE stands for Planed Square Edge, it's the squarest timber you'll find on the shelf but its always a lottery. A hand planer would be a good idea.

Thanks @senfre_ . Looking for scaffold board type rustic but scaff boards are 225 and I need 300.

9" off scaffold board is pushing it for stability on wide boards but are selected for stability
usually for12"/300mm you would alternate 2/3 or 4 bits cup up and cup down
timber/timba/furniture board will all have staves about 44mm wide glued together to give stability
if you want to use scaffold boards then just rip a board to give you 2x112[board will be 227mm]
and plan on 227x112=339 wide or [2 rips 3 bits]73mmx227mm to give your 300
dont forget backs and fronts will take up about 50mm off your cabinet assuming inset scaffold doors and 6/12mm backs

and 6x1.5" will be preworked stock size so around 143mmx 32-34mm when planed
