Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, Another financial mastermind has been arrested for fraud, 30billion is still unaccounted for, i wonder what he did with it , i hope he put in a bank that would be poetic justice.

there was a report yesterday that they dont think he was alone, like the bit about the bank deposit  wonder if he complained about the naff interest rate?

Apparently he has taken some of the banks for millions

Normally you would seek advice from your bank about good investments

You really couldn't make it up

(And don't get me started on the overpayments on pensions)

And RBS lost £600m in that scam.

::Goes to check bank account still has money in it :)::

so he was robbing peter to pay paul, by paying out the old investors with the new ones he got in. Isnt that what all the banks got caught out with back in september?

Have you noticed the possible sentence? A fine of upto $5 million and upto 20 years in jail

The guy is a pensioner, he's had his life, been spending the dosh since 1960 and so he has literally got away with it.

Along with all the other crapp in the finance and corporate markets, this is just another [big] example of what greed and an unchecked 'capitalist' economy does.

We should let the commies have a bash for the next 50 or so years to see if they were right all along

Lets face it any system of control with a few in charge is open to abuse.

The ideals are noteworthy its just the implementation that lets it down due to the greed of a few

Perhaps a fairer way is to allow different parts of the world say the third world to have all the wealth for a time say the next 100 years or so and we all live in poverty to really see what that word means and give those that have never experienced our lifestyle a chance to see the wonders that can be had by having exploited the poor for centuries.

From what I read of your posts in the 'Slave Drivers' thread (I posted on that as well), I'd of thought you'd be quite happy to hand over our 'PC's'. :D
